  • In order for anyone to hold themselves out as a CPA to the public in Illinois, they must have an active license or registration with the IDFPR. Search the database of licensed CPAs.
  • Members of the Illinois CPA Society are expected to uphold standards of ethics as set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. When allegations of misconduct are made, they are subject to investigation and disciplinary action.
  • All firms who provide services requiring an Illinois license must undergo a Peer Review every three years.
