CHICAGO, June 23, 2016 – The Illinois CPA Society recently honored Douglas Hart, Managing Partner of the investment firm, DAD Associates LLC, with its Time and Talent Public Service Volunteerism Award. Hart was recognized for outstanding volunteer efforts in public service volunteer efforts through the Society’s CPA’s for the Public Interest community service arm.
He received the honor on Tuesday, June 14 at the Illinois CPA Society’s annual Leadership Recognition Dinner in Chicago.
Hart is a long-time volunteer who dedicates his time to both Junior Achievement and The Center for Economic Progress’ low income tax preparation program.
This past year, Hart spent more than 200 hours volunteering his time with Junior Achievement to teach elementary school children sound money management skills. In addition to his work with The Center for Economic Progress, he also donates his time to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program where he provides free tax return preparation services for lower income families in Illinois. When not assisting others on tax preparation, Hart and others from North Shore Congregation Israel in Highland Park prepare meals that they deliver to several Chicago churches for those in need.
Hart has over 30 years of experience in a variety of financial consulting segments. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about using his expertise to teach and help others.
