CHICAGO, April 6, 2017 – The CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois, the charitable partner of the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), announced its Board of Directors to serve April 1, 2017 – March 31, 2018.
“I’m very excited and honored to serve as president of the CPA Endowment Fund,” said Deborah K. Rood, Risk Control Consulting Director at CNA Insurance. “I am thrilled to be able to give back to this organization, and more broadly to the profession, in this new capacity. It is incredibly rewarding work and I am eager to continue promoting the CPA credential and paving the way for tomorrow’s CPAs.”
Rood previously served as the Board’s Secretary and Vice President, as well as the chairperson of the CPA Endowment Fund’s Audit Committee and the CPA Exam Award Task Force. In 2016, she received the American Institute of CPA’s and ICPAS “Women to Watch” Award in the experienced leader category. She also received the ICPAS Distinguished Service Award in 2010 and 2011.
