CHICAGO, June 13, 2017 – The Illinois CPA Society recently honored Mary Ann Webb, Managing Partner and co-founder at Sulaski and Webb CPAs in Bloomington, with its 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award. Webb was recognized for demonstrating distinguished service to the Illinois CPA Society and the CPA profession throughout her career
She received the award on Wednesday, June 7 at the Illinois CPA Society’s annual Leadership Recognition Dinner in Chicago.
In addition to assisting her firm’s clients, Webb also has served as a member of the Illinois CPA Society’s Board of Directors, has chaired several committees and is also a past president of the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois Board.
Webb is a dedicated member of her community. Her volunteer efforts include being involved with The Children’s Foundation, Bloomington Rotary Club, as well as the McLean County Chamber of Commerce, United Way and YWCA. She currently serves as a Board Member of the Bloomington Public Library Foundation, the Bloomington Rotary Foundation, and is the vice-chair of the Chestnut Health Systems board of directors.
Not only is Webb an alumna of Illinois State University, she has also served as President of the Redbird Club and has been a member of ISU’s Accounting Advisory Board since 1991. She currently serves on the ISU Foundation board.
“Probably the most rewarding part of my work has been the people that I have met along the way,” Webb explained. “I have been blessed to have had wonderful employees and clients most of whom I consider friends as well. I have also had the opportunity to serve on many boards throughout the community and all have been extremely rewarding, have brought new friendships and have benefitted me personally and professionally.”
