Illinois CPA Society Members Honored for Achieving Highest CPA Exam Scores

CHICAGO, June 12, 2018 The Illinois CPA Society is proud to recognize its members who have earned some of the highest scores in the nation on the Uniform CPA Exam in 2017. They are being honored this month with the Elijah Watt Sells Award – given by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA). 

The honorees include: 

  • Caitlin Geary – KPMG LLP, University of Notre Dame

                            

  • Marshal Herrmann – KPMG LLP, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

     

  • Joseph Moran – PwC, University of Notre Dame

 

To be eligible for the Elijah Watt Sells Award, candidates must have obtained a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the Uniform CPA Exam. Award recipients must also pass all four exam sections on the first attempt.

Elijah Watt Sells was one of the nation’s first CPAs and played a key role in helping to advance professional education in accounting. Each year since 1923, the AICPA has honored those achieving outstanding performances on the Uniform CPA Exam with the award in his name.
