COVID-19 Government Relations Daily Summary

The following Daily Summary includes information on Governor Pritzker's release of guidelines for business and workplaces to safely reopen and summaries of the FY 2021 State Operating Budget passed by the Illinois General Assembly during the Special Session.

Business, Industry & Workplace Reopening Guidance
Phase-3 Restore Illinois

On Sunday, Governor Pritzker released through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity guidelines for business and workplaces to safely reopen during Phase-3 of Restore Illinois.  The guidance includes tool kits for various industries to follow in bringing back its workforce and restoring business operations.  See Governor's Release.

FY 2021 State Operating Budget
The Illinois General Assembly recessed the four-day Special Session early Sunday morning.  Both Chambers approved a state operating budget for FY 2021, vote-by-mail legislation and legislation amending the Chicago Casino authorization. State Budget Summary. BIMP, Budget Implement Summary.  The BIMP bill changes existing state law to carry out budget priorities.
