Being a responsible CPA includes knowing the rules that guide this profession. Anyone obtaining the CPA credential after June 30, 2012 is required to obtain a full CPA license. Members of the Illinois CPA Society (Society) are expected to uphold standards of ethics as set by the AICPA. All firms who provide services requiring an Illinois license must undergo a Peer Review every three years.The practice of public accounting in Illinois is governed by the Illinois Public Accounting Act and the Illinois Administrative Code.
