The Illinois CPA Society’s annual education summit focuses on “what’s next” for the accounting and finance profession over two days of learning.
CHICAGO, July 28, 2025 – The Illinois CPA Society’s (ICPAS) annual education event for accounting and finance professionals, ICPAS SUMMIT, will return to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. on Aug. 20-21, 2025, with a pre-SUMMIT Quality Management Workshop on Aug. 19, 2025. ICPAS SUMMIT25 offers in-person and virtual learning opportunities to explore the hottest topics from some of the most influential people in the accounting profession.
Designed around the theme, “What’s Next,” ICPAS SUMMIT25 will provide 38 educational sessions hosted by 36 unique thought leaders in the areas of accounting and auditing, corporate finance, personal development and human capital, tax, and technology.
The opening session, “The State of the CPA Profession: Staying Agile for What’s Next,” presented by ICPAS President and CEO Geoffrey Brown, CAE, and ICPAS Board of Directors Chairperson Brian Blaha, CPA, will explore the changes, opportunities, challenges, and trends impacting accounting and finance professionals today and discuss what’s next as we steward the profession into the future.
Other session highlights include “Get Your Head in the Game! Harnessing Your Mental Fitness” by Kristen Fox, MBA, PCC, CPCC, CPQC, practice leader of coaching and leadership development at TalentRise; “Catch Me If You Can: Today’s Pink Collar Criminal” by Kelly Paxton, CFE, principal of K Paxton LLC; “The U.S. Economy: Labor Challenges and Solutions” by Jeffrey Korzenik, chief investment strategist at Fifth Third Bank, and David Snyder, president and CEO of The Economic Club of Chicago; “Cultivating Creativity to Transform Your Career” with Liz Barhydt, CPA, CMA, CFO of Optimism; and “The Evolving Technology Landscape” by Randy Johnston, MCS, executive vice president of K2 Enterprises.
