CHICAGO, June 6, 2019 – The Illinois CPA Society recently honored Lee A. Gould, CPA/ABV, JD, CFE, CFF with its 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award. Gould was recognized for demonstrating distinguished service to the Illinois CPA Society and the CPA profession throughout his career.

Gould received the award on Tuesday, June 4 at the Illinois CPA Society’s annual Leadership Recognition and Awards Dinner in Chicago.

He currently is the Managing Member at Gould & Pakter Associates LLC. He has more than 35 years of experience and specializes in performing valuations of middle-market, closely held businesses, financial damages determination and forensic accounting investigations.

Gould has served in several capacities with the Illinois CPA Society, including a term as Chairperson of the Board of Directors in 2009. Additionally, he served as President of the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois from 2011 to 2014 and remains a member of its board of directors.   

Gould has been involved with several of the Society’s committees and task forces. He has served as chair of the Consulting Executive Committee and as a member of the Society’s Business Valuation Conference Task Force, Business Valuation Special Interest Group and Family Law Conference Task Force. 

“Knowing that I follow in the footsteps of past award recipients, whose hard work and vision have allowed the profession and the Illinois CPA Society to remain dynamic and evolving, underscores my gratitude for receiving this award,” Gould said. “Of all the awards and accomplishments throughout my career, I am most proud of becoming a CPA. It was my first and most challenging professional goal to achieve and maintain.”

Gould became a CPA in 1980, the same year he earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Illinois. He also is a graduate of the Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
