Enhance your skills in reviewing and understanding governmental financial statements and Auditors’ opinions by analyzing Illinois local government reports prepared on the modified cash basis of accounting. This course focuses on evaluating compliance with applicable reporting standards and best practices by reviewing issued financial statements and Auditors’ reports issued by counties, municipalities, townships, school districts, and other special districts.

Review Illinois local government reports, including counties, municipalities, townships, school districts and other special districts prepared on the modified cash basis of accounting. Attendees will recieve instructions and an overview of the day followed by dedicated time reviewing financial reports, including the basic financial statements, notes to the financial statements, individual fund financial statements, and Auditors’ reports.

This course is designed for Preparers, editors or reviewers of local governmental financial reports.
