Aspiring Black CPA Scholarship

The Aspiring Black CPA Scholarships are funded by donations to the Black CPA Centennial Fund. These national scholarships, ranging from $500 to $5,000 each, will provide financial support for accounting students or professionals pursuing the CPA credential. Recipients may receive support for expenses related to preparing for or taking the CPA exam, including college tuition toward CPA eligibility, related classroom materials, CPA exam preparation courses, CPA exam application fees, tutors, and more.

Eligibility Requirements and Expectations

  • Identify as Black or African American
  • Be a senior, graduate student, or professional pursuing the CPA license
  • Intend to sit for the CPA exam within one year of applying for this scholarship
  • Have not already completed all four sections of the CPA exam
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the accounting/CPA profession
  • Demonstrate immediate financial need related to becoming a CPA (if selected, will use the scholarship by March 31, 2023)

Applications must be submitted by May 1, 2022. A selection committee will review your application and all applicants will be notified with the decision by mid-June.
