Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Illinois CPA Society. By volunteering you help guide and govern the work of the Society and enhance the value of the CPA profession.

Current volunteers do not need to apply for reappointment unless they want to apply for a different committee or advisory council. Before making your selection, read each volunteer opportunity description and indicate up to three choices by using the drop-down selectors
Please note: Some of our volunteer groups are Senior Level Only. This means that your professional status ordinarily must be manager, partner, controller, CFO or full-time accounting department faculty. These committees are specified in the list.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities
The Illinois CPA Society offers other ways to get involved. Please indicate if you are interested in more information.
- Located throughout the state ICPAS Chapters provide local, affordable and relevant programs offering CPE and networking opportunities. Volunteer positions include Chapter President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and various committee chairs.
- To meet the growing needs of the profession, the Illinois CPA Society annually holds a number of learning events. We are always looking for new speakers and topics to keep our programs fresh and relevant.
Writing for INSIGHT
- INSIGHT Magazine and supporting publications aim to encourage and inspire Illinois’ accounting, business, and finance professionals to create positive change in their lives and communities through relevant, meaningful, and insightful thought leadership, news, and information. ICPAS members are invited to contribute new and engaging content for review and potential publication.
High School/College Outreach- These outreach efforts are geared toward encouraging diverse high school students to choose accounting as a college major and motivating college students to achieve the CPA credential. ICPAS coordinates the visits and provides volunteers with materials. We are looking for volunteers to bring the presentation to life by sharing real-life experiences.
