The Details:

Day 1: Strategy Frameworks Lab

  • Learn about various strategy frameworks and understand how to identify what drives a business value, growth, and profitability.

  • Learn to use, apply, and assess the Return Driven Strategy framework in audit, tax, or accounting service engagements to provide strategic insights in improving client profitability and value

  • Understand the concept of value drivers and how to identify them for a business. Identify value drivers most relevant to business’ profitability.

  • Calculate, assess, and analyze how those value drivers impact profitability and growth

Day 2: Value Drivers Lab, Case Preparation, and Presentation

  • Develop a value drivers scorecard that identifies key strategic financial metrics.

  • Work in small groups to apply the learnings to date to your assigned business:
    • Apply and assess the Return Driven Strategy framework.
    • Identify and assess the value drivers that are most impactful to the business.
    • Develop recommendations to improve profitability and growth.
    • Develop case study and presentation
  • Present team’s case study, including strategic analysis and recommendations. Receive feedback.

  • Discuss how to implement program learnings in your firm and address barriers to success.
