Premier Education Event for Accounting and Finance Professionals Returns to Rosemont

The Illinois CPA Society’s annual education summit focuses on “building your future” over two days of learning.

CHICAGO, July 10, 2024 – The Illinois CPA Society’s (ICPAS) annual education event for accounting and finance professionals, ICPAS SUMMIT, will return to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. on August 27-28, 2024. ICPAS SUMMIT24 promises unparalleled in-person and virtual learning opportunities from some of the most influential people in the accounting profession.

Designed around the theme, “Building your future,” ICPAS SUMMIT24 will offer 38 educational sessions hosted by 32 unique thought leaders, including six keynote presentations.

The opening keynote, “State of the CPA Profession: It’s Time to Think Big,” presented by ICPAS President and CEO Geoffrey Brown, CAE, and ICPAS Board of Directors Chairperson Deb Rood, CPA, will discuss the issues impacting accounting and finance today and the big ideas that could keep the CPA profession moving forward.

Other keynotes include “Human Capital Management: How to Best Engage and Retain Top Talent” by Sirmara Campbell, chief human resources officer at LaSalle Network; “Techs and Trends: 2024 Update” by Roman Kepczyk, CPA, CITP, CGMA, LSS BB, director of firm technology strategy at Rightworks; “A Look Ahead at the U.S. Economy” by LaVaughn Henry, Ph.D., CBE, former senior economist for the Council of Economic Advisers in the Executive Office of the President (the White House) and senior regional officer and vice president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland; “Maintaining Ethical Objectivity and Independence” with Moore Tax Law Group LLC’s Director of Investigations Kathy Enstrom, MBA, EA, CFE, and Managing Member Guinevere Moore, JD; and “REAL Leadership: Navigating Today’s Workplace” by LaTonya Wilkins, MBA, founder and CEO of Change Coaches.

Beyond the keynotes, innovative learning tracks will cover the areas of accounting, auditing, corporate finance, ethics, human capital, personal development, tax, and technology.
