Tomorrow’s Solutions Today – at the ICPAS SUMMIT19

CHICAGO, July 31, 2019 Get a glimpse of what the future holds at the Illinois CPA Society’s (ICPAS) premier event for accounting and finance professionals. ICPAS SUMMIT19 will be held on August 27–28 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.

More than 40 key thought-leaders will be sharing their insights while offering attendees the opportunity to earn up to 16 hours of CPE credit. Additionally, attendees will be able to view and try out real-world, affordable business solutions.

The two-day program features 36 education sessions on a variety of cutting-edge topics including:

  • Capitalizing on Cannabis
  • Blockchain
  • Supercharging Your Workflow Automation
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Simple Strategies to Grow Your Practice

The opening keynote presentation features Illinois CPA Society President and CEO, Todd Shapiro and Geoffrey Harlow, CPA, Partner at Wipfli LLP and Board Chairperson of the Illinois CPA Society. Their presentation, “The State of the (Evolving) Profession,” focuses on how new business demands are redefining the role of CPAs and why it’s critical to become the strategic business advisors that clients and companies seek.

Other keynote presenters include Jodie Fisher, North American Business Unit Executive, Watson IoT, IBM, discussing “Real Time Decision Making With AI and IoT.” There’s also the “2019 Technology Forecast” presentation by tech futurist Dana R. “Rick” Richardson, CPA, CITP, CGMA. Additionally, The Second City Works comedy team will be at SUMMIT19 showcasing “Innovation in Times of Change: Using Improv to Deal With Disruption!”

In addition to education sessions, attendees will be able to get hands-on experience with the latest technology solutions in the interactive Exhibit Center. More than 65 exhibitors, including Xero, Thomson Reuters, and Sage, will be showcasing their latest innovations.
