CHICAGO, April 8, 2024 – The CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois, the charitable partner of the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), is pleased to announce its board of directors for the April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, fiscal year.
This year, the board welcomes a new chairperson in longtime board member Jason Parish, CPA, of Plante Moran PLLC. New directors include Jonathan C. Acevedo, CPA, of Wipfli LLP; Scott E. Hurwitz, CPA, formerly of Deloitte LLP; Jason Treadwell of the Treadwell Consulting Group; and Leslie Van Wolvelear, Ed.D., CPA, CGMA, of Oakton College. The immediate past chairperson of the ICPAS Board of Directors, Jonathan W. Hauser, CPA, of KPMG LLP in Chicago, also joins the board as an ex-officio director.

It’s a privilege to lead an organization that has played such a significant role in my own journey and has also made countless opportunities possible for others interested in joining our profession,” says Jason Parish, CPA, partner at Plante Moran PLLC. “Alongside our dedicated board and staff, I look forward to advancing our efforts to provide more individuals with the necessary time, resources, and experiences they need to become certified public accountants (CPAs).”
During the last fiscal year, giving by more than 1,070 donors aided the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois in awarding more than $260,000 in scholarships and providing specialized programs and resources to approximately 400 diverse and deserving aspiring CPAs.
